CAL Fire Suspends al Fire Permits

July 1, 2014 (San Diego) CAL Fire has issued a suspension to all burn permits. The suspension started yesterday at 0800 and will remain in effect until suspended. This order encompasses all State Responsibility Areas,  and includes a suspensions of burn permits for residential areas within the State Responsibility Area and those who contract with CAL Fire are no longer valid.

Moreover, forest abatement and other activities to reduce hazards, such as controlled burns are suspended, and Campfires are restricted to established campgrounds and campfire facilities.

The County also issued a no shooting or discharging of fire arms during the same period, due to heightened fire risk.

The State Agency has already responded to over 2,118 incidents, which is a 70% increase in their response. For more information, go here.
