Oct. 16, 2016 (San Diego) The City Clerk announced that the Minimum Wage ordinance has qualified for the ballot for the june 2016 ballot.

Rabbi Laurie Coskie, as a representative of Raise up San Diego said “We’re confident, when faced with the choice San Diegans will step up and do the right thing. Come June of 2016, justice will prevail.”

Since this has qualified for the ballot, the measure is on hold.

The other item that qualified for the ballot was the five-day sick leave. Given that we are just entering flu season that will become relevant, as workers will continue to go to work sick.
