Nov 18, 2015 (CHP) On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at approximately 10:19 p.m., CHP dispatch received reports from passing motorists of a gray Nissan Altima stalled in the southbound lanes of I-805, just north of Carroll Canyon Road. Soon thereafter, a white Lexus IS350 collided into the rear of the stalled Nissan. At some point the Nissan caught on fire. San Diego Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the burning vehicle. After the vehicle was extinguished the body of an unidentified male was found inside. The driver of the Lexus did not sustain any injuries. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
