Feb 2, 2016 (San Diego) Lori Saldana announced her challenge of Mayor Kevin Falconer last Thursday. She served in the Assembly and was termed out, and while surviving at the Assembly she developed a very strong environmental record.
Reverend Shane Harris of the National Action Network San Diego has endorsed Saldana for mayor. This is an important endorsement that will help Saldana to pick up votes.
Here is the endorsement in it’s totality.
Reverend Shane Harris President of the National Action Network San Diego with much thought and conversation have decided to personally endorse Lori Saldaña for Mayor of San Diego(I) for Mayor 2016. Lori is a former member of the Assembly (76th district Democrat) . She comes with much experience around fair housing, women of color rights, while in the Assembly she authored bills like AB 1934 which banned gun carriers openly carrying guns. She has been a true leader and is experienced and we will do everything in our power to ensure that Lori Saldana steps in to office in November and becomes the true Mayor that we need here in San Diego. Our current Mayor Kevin Falconer is a political careerist and is only concerned about becoming Governor of California and his political career. It is my belief that Lori Saldana will focus on our city. Next steps to be announced in a few days. In the meantime visit www.lori4mayor.com for the new website up by tonight at 12am.
