50 Acre Fire Near Barona Casino

Final update, all advisory evacuations have been lifted. And it seemed not so final after all
IC just updated the acreage to 133 after more thorough mapping. Fire still holding, forward ROS stopped.
16:30 update

7/18/2016 3:30:00 PM PDT

Residents asked to evacuate due to the Feather Fire burning in the four corners area of Ramona may take their livestock to  a temporary evacuation point designated by the Sheriff’s Department at the Equestrian Center located at 16911 Gunn Stage Road in Ramona. Residents may also go to a temporary evacuation point established at El Capitan High School located at 10410 Ashwood Street, Lakeside 92040. Cal FIRE reports the fire is holding at 50 acres.

15:35 update:
2m2 minutes ago  IC reports fire crews making good progress..fire holding at 55 acres..

There is a wildfire in four corners area of Ramona which Cal FIRE reports at 30 acres with rapid rate of spread. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has ordered an evacuation for the area.  Evacuation shelter or temporary evacuation points have yet to be established.  If you need emergency assistance in evacuation, call 9-1-1. If you need additional information call the San Diego Sheriff’s Department non-emergency line at 858-565-5200.

July 18, 2016 (San Diego) According to  CAL FIRE there is a fast spreading wild fire, dubbed the Feather fire, is burning near the Barona Casino. There are structures under threat at the Barona Mesa, and according to Fox Five Sheriff’s Deputies are starting evacuations

The fire it at 50 acres, and it is spreading fast with multiple assets moving in to fight the fire from both Tribal government and state agencies. We are monitoring the fire.
