August 4, 2016 (San Diego) The United Food and Commercial Workers has reached a tentative contract with Kroeger, subject to a member contract ratification vote on Monday. This means the boycott is over, for the moment.
Mickey Kasparian, President of Local 135, posted this on social media:
We have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with Albertsons, Ralphs, and Vons, pending our members ratification vote on Monday, August 8. I want to thank all of our community partners who came forward day in and day out to support the workers. In particular, our amazing staff. Also, this deal could not have happened without the strength and solidarity of our dedicated members.
