12m12 minutes ago  [update] Remains 15 acres & evacuation orders have been lifted. IC reports no structures were damaged or destroyed.

And here it is,, forward rate of spread has been stopped, as well as the firefighter injury.

9m9 minutes ago  [update] Forward rate of spread has been stopped & is 40% contained. One ff transported to hospital for confirmed snake bite.

We have confirmed that a fire fighter did get injured, and we know there was an ambulance transport to the hospital. His or her condition has not been released.

[update] Fire is now reported 15 acres; evacuation orders for Pointe Pkwy & California Waters Dr & Pleasant Water Ct placed.

August 17, 2016 (Spring Valley) there is a fast spreading brush fire in Spring Valley with mandatory evacuations in place. It is now at 4 acres. It is dubbed the PointeFire.

  1. [update] Evacuation orders are in place; Ledge Side between Ledge View & South Barcelona

  2. Firefighters at scene of a 3 acre vegetation fire in the area of the 2900 block of Pointe Parkway in Spring Valley, rapid rate of spread.

We are keeping our ears to the radio to see how the situation develops.
