Red Flag Warning Issued by National Weather Service

Update: Red Flag extended. 

The National Weather Service has extended the Red Flag Warning until noon Monday for the San Diego County mountains and deserts. The Red Flag Warning has been issued due to strong gusty winds and low humidity. Winds are forecasted to run west to southwest along mountain ridges into deserts at speeds of 10-25 MPH, with gusts up to 35-40 MPH, and will be accompanied by very low humidity, resulting in critical wildfire conditions. September 1, 2016 (San Diego) The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag warning for mountains and deserts in San Diego County. The warning is in effect. It is slated to end on the 3rd at 8 PM. This means there is a higher fire danger due to high heat and low humidity.
