Nov 10, 2016 (San Diego) Barbara Boy won her seat to the San Diego City Council. Even though Ray Ellis did pull out months ago, due to the Trump effect, he was still nominally on the ballot.
Her victory means that Bry will replace Council President Sherri Lightner who is termed out and will keep this seat in Democratic control. Bry is a high technology advocate and represents a district has technology as its economic core, as well as tourism.
Technically this is a nonpartisan race, but both parties have openly contested these seats for some time.
In the meantime, the race between Georgette Gomez and Georgette Gomez in District 9 is too close to call.
