US Senate to Vote on Healthcare

July 25, 2017 (WASHINGTON) The US Senate will vote on healthcare today, after Senator John McCain (R-AZ) flew back to DC. We have no idea what piece of legislation or bills will Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will bring to the floor. However, there is a belief that they might have the votes for this mystery bill.

If any of these passes, ranging from a repeal and replace to just a plain repeal bill, anywhere from 22 to 25 million Americans are expected to lose health care. This will likely have an effect in the midterm elections for Republicans who may lose control of the Senate.

During the speech to the Scout Jamboree, the president also threatened Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price if the votes were not there. This was one strange moment, among many during what should have been a non-political speech.

As they say, stay tuned.
