San Diego Issues Excessive Heat Warning 


August 28, 2017 (County of San Diego) The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for San Diego County deserts and valleys from 10 a.m. Monday (August 28) until 10 p.m. Wednesday (August 30). Expected highs: 110 – 116 degrees in the deserts and 98 – 106 degrees in the valleys.
A Heat Advisory has been issued for San Diego County mountain and coastal areas from 10 a.m. today (August 28) until 10 p.m. Wednesday (August 30). Expected highs: 90s – 102 degrees.
The County operates a Cool Zones program and has designated more than 115 air-conditioned buildings as cooling centers. For a listing of Cool Zone locations, hours of operation, and tips to beat the heat, visit
