When doing a kitchen lighting project it is crucial that the color schemes be properly understood and analyzed. By properly understand the kitchen’s color scheme the right LED lights can easily be chosen. Did you know that LED lighting comes in a variety of shades of white? For example, a 2700k LED light produces a warm white which works best in kitchens with earth-tones. A 3000k LED light produces a slightly whiter light which works better in black and white kitchens. As your kitchen lighting specialists we ensure that your kitchen is lit in the best way possible.

John was very professional, punctual and made me feel at ease with any questions that I may have had about the job being done. He was very knowledgeble about what he was doing. Most important he was friendly. When he was finished, he cleaned the work area, and also showed me some very interesting lighting designs for my kitchen, which will be the next lighting project my wife and I update. I would absolutly recomend this company and use this company in the future. Thanks John!!

I called John and within moments I knew he was the guy for the job. John knows his stuff! We ended up going with recessed lighting, under cabinet lighting, pendants over my kitchen island and a new fixture in my breakfast area with dimming options for all and independent switches which I love.

If you move into an unfamiliar community, buy a home and then face repair or remodeling decisions as I did, it can be overwhelming.  Fortunately, Powerworks came to my rescue.  Ryan and Ryan were honest, dependable, professional and very helpful with local info, maintenance suggestions, and patience.  John Donaldson, the owner, was quick to provide quotes, scheduling and didn’t flinch when items were “adjusted”.  Thanks, guys.

Additionally, we air-sealed the recessed can lights in two ways. We use one piece light/trim combinations with foam gaskets and the cans we use are air-tight.

John, the owner of PowerWorks Electric, wired his first house with his uncle’s company back in 1973. In 1983, he moved to Alaska where he installed generators and worked in an electrical shop. At the electrical shop he rebuilt starters, alternators and generators for commercial and industrial machinery. On top of this he managed small power-plants serving remote communities in central Alaska. After Alaska, he and his family moved to Georgia in 2006 where he took the Master Electrician Exam and passed it the first time.

Was a pleasure dealing with him, very personable and nice job. I would highly recommend him.

Power Works Electric arrived as promised and completed the job promptly and professionally. This was a difficult installation because of the ceiling height and the replacement of an old 1970s track light with modern, hanging fixtures. This job transformed the entire look of the home. My expectations were exceeded.

Thanks for the excellent response to my request for power to our new outbuilding and then locating the fixtures. Your site visit was detailed and I understood all the work you were suggesting and the quote was accurate. The electricians were on time and enjoyable to work with. We are very pleased with the outcome and I would recommend your company to others.

John did an excellent job at my house. He was quick, efficient and friendly. He explained what was wrong and how it could be fixed before he fixed it. He charged exactly what he said he would and only added on the costs of parts. I could not ask for a better electrician. PowerWorks truly is a five star company.

The recessed can housing will last for decades. By utilizing the new LED light chips, the typical homeowner can expect 15 to 20 years of bulb life. That’s 20 times that of typical incandescent bulbs. Most LED manufacturers publish the life expectancy of the light on the outside of the box. LED lighting is a great option for kitchen lighting and other indoor lighting needs.

After a disappointing consultation with another electrician. I called John and within moments I knew he was the guy for the job. John knows his stuff! My husband and I called initially for a ceiling fan installation but asked John to look at our kitchen for recessed lighting because this is something we’ve wanted for a long time. The kitchen was very dark and we had a terrible track light in there. We ended up going with Recessed lighting, under cabinet lighting, Pendants over my kitchen island and a new fixture in my breakfast area with dimming options for all and independent switches which I love. John took the time to educate us around different lighting options and energy savings, explained the process and gave us multiple options at different price points. The best part of the consultation was his incredible insight and knowledge around light placement and design that would complement our kitchen. We asked John to start the job the next day at 8AM and he & his team were right on time. The project took about a day & a half which was a great timeframe considering they took care and pride in executing the work;John’s motto is measure twice and cut once! I appreciated that considering these were holes in my ceiling! Overall all I couldn’t be happier with the finished result, I feel like I’ve had a full kitchen remodel just with light enhancements! John was fairly priced for the quality and results. He’s my new electrician and I would recommend him to anyone.

I needed an electrician to combat an electrical problem I had with my well. I called Home Depot in PTC Georgia and ask them if they have electricians. The gentleman told me about the Redbeacon program. I put in a request and John Donaldson, within minutes, responded to me via e-mail. I was impressed with him from the get go. I called him and he came out that same day. Not only did he fix my problem but he showed me how someone had wired something inside my house main circuit breaker box totally incorrectly. He explained that they used a nuetral to make a ground or something like that. He also explained that it could eventually cause a house fire!!! Mr. Donaldson corrected that too.

I have used John Donaldson PowerWorks Electric for several projects around the house: installing exterior security lights, adding a ceiling outlet and wall switch; and getting a ceiling fan working.

Peachtree City | Newnan | Senoia | Fayetteville | Sharpsburg | Tyrone

Whenever I need electrical work, PowerWorks Electric will get my business.

Mr. Donaldson was prompt, courteous, professional and efficient. I would highly recommend him to others needing electrical services.

John and his team of certified electricians are experienced and trained both residentially and commercially. Whatever your electrical needs are they can help you with them. John is fully insured and currently holds an unrestricted electrical license and a Lutron certification for lighting control. PowerWorks electric is currently associated with BNI, HomeDepot’s Redbeacon pro system, and HomeAdvisor.

I needed to have 4 new ceiling fans installed, 2 ceiling fans with remote controls, and 1 ceiling fan installed in a small room that only had a light.

We have had Power Works do multiple jobs from working on an outdoor security light to completely rewiring a 1957 house from top to bottom. Top notch work done right the first time. Great folks! Great work!

John was personable and knowledgeable and easy to work with. I would recommend him to anyone.

John is very good at confirming what needs to be done; explains clearly how he will do it; identifies possible concerns and solutions. He works quickly and leaves nothing behind but good work.

Frequently we hear customers say that the other electricians were going to cut their ceilings full of holes. This requires the homeowner to higher a drywall repair specialist and a painter. In most all cases we install the lighting without any additional holes in the ceilings.

John was great to work with and I think the guys did a good job given the tedious nature of fishing wire through finished walls.

He will continue to do all of my electric repairs. What I loved most about John’s work,he always took the time to explain everything before he started. With all of his great skills as an electrician, he even made my dog look forward to seeing him. He will always be my first contact when I need anything done! The house looks GREAT and I couldn’t be happier!

On the latest projects John had several helpers. Like John they were neat, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient.

Review was entered previously. should have been five star. John and his guy were very nice. They are coming back over to assist after inspection.

Mr. Donaldson’s team did a great job. They cleaned up so that I hardly knew they had been here. My new panel looks perfect and the labels are clean and accurate. Still not not sure how they changed that entire breaker panel and did not damage any sheet-rock. I would definitely use PowerWorks Electric Co again and recommend them to my friends. John came out several times to do the work I needed done regarding my kitchen remodel. He was kind enough to make several trips at no extra charge to work around the schedules of other contractors. He also came out after the job was completed to replace a plug on our new stove after the store sent the wrong one. at no additional charge. John is a pro, and I’ll be calling on him again in the future.

The electrician arrived on time at the property. Called and explained all that needed to the done. They were very professional and the cost was great.

Check out what we have recently done with the back deck of a Peachtree City Resident! They needed wall lighting…

I will rate this service a 10 and definitively will use them again.

Great job so good had them put in second fan and fix a couple of other i had with my ligthing. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;Great service Home Depot

John was very professional. His quality was spot on, I would recommend him to other clients. Great job!

In early January of 2014 we were the third company to give a recessed can installation quote. The customer chose us because our prices were competitive and we said we could do the job with no additional ceiling damage.

John not only showed on time but even started early. He put in LED light strips under the cabinets in the kitchen and around our living room bar area. It looks amazing! He also switched out our fans for us which was actually the original job. He has great ideas and is very creative. We will definitely use PowerWorks again and refer them to everyone else! Thanks again

PowerWorks Electric offers professional lighting consultations for your kitchen. The evaluation considers three types of lighting needs in your space: task, general and decorative. Often kitchen lighting involves a task oriented island area that also needs a decorative aspect. While the customer needs to choose their fixture, they also need to consider the type of bulbs available for the light and the lumen output options.
